Wednesday Wins

Hello, and welcome to Wednesday Wins. A new series where I give credit where credit is due, and pat myself on the back for any notable achievements I’ve had that week, big or small. Some weeks, like today’s inaugural one, might include bigger wins. Some weeks, simply leaving the house might be considered an accomplishment.

A nice, midweek pick me up, a way to keep track, so that I can come back to it when I need a boost.

Today’s win is actually twofold, but along the same theme. If you don’t already know, I like to create. I make things. Sometimes it’s bags, other times it’s paintings, and most recently it’s been beaded bag charms. I sold several bags and a painting to a longtime friend/client, and received the sweetest note in return. It seriously couldn’t have come at a better time; I’ve been having a rough few days, and feeling kind of low, so receiving the following meant more than I could put into words.

The second win is making my second Etsy sale! Last week, I put up one bag charm as a sort of test. When I received the email that it sold, I was happily surprised. Time was then spent adding more listings, and chasing that thrill of a sale, but for several days, no luck. 

Then today, upon arriving home, I checked my email, and ANOTHER SALE WAS MADE. It feels validating. I shouldn’t need any validation, but I’m human, and am going to take it as I feel it.

So here is the start of what I can only hope becomes a long list of wins. Cheers to the first two. I only hope I remember to look back at this when I let myself get myself down.
